Underwater Navigation Specialty (a 3 dive specialty),
the Underwater Navigation Manual, the
Search & Recovery Specialty (a 4 dive specialty),

Prerequisites: Must be at least 12 years old and be an Advanced Open Water Diver,
Junior Advanced Open Water Diver or be an Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver and an Underwater Navigator Specialty Diver.

- Underwater Navigation: When you are underwater, knowing where you are and where you
are going comes in handy, especially if you are looking for that beautiful reef that you have heard all about. The
Underwater Navigation Specialty course will help you become a pro at finding your way underwater. Counts toward the

- Underwater Search & Recovery: Have you ever dropped something in the water? Are you
looking for lost treasure? The Search and Recovery Diver Specialty course will teach you effective ways to find objects
underwater and bring them to the surface safely. Counts toward the
Master Scuba Diver Certification.

 Forms Required:
Students training will need to complete the three (3) forms:
Liability Release,
Statement of Understanding, and
Medical Statement
prior to entering the water.
Materials/Equipment Required:
The Underwater Navigation Manual, the Underwater Search & Recovery Manual
($75.00 - included in price). Recommended: The Underwater Navigation Video/DVD
($25.00), the Underwater Search & Recovery Video/DVD
($25.00) and Nav-Finder
($30.00).

 Length of Course:
If you have read the Underwater Navigation Manual and the Underwater Search & Recovery Manual, completed the
knowledge reviews and watched the Videos/DVD's prior to coming to class, the classroom session should take
approximately 2 hours depending upon class size.
