DEEP DIVER SPECIALTY

Deep Dive - Spotted EaglerayCourse Overview: The Deep Diver Specialty course offers you the opportunity of a lifetime - going deep to see thing others can only dream about. A deep dive is any dive deeper than 60 feet.

Prerequisites: To qualify for the Deep Diver course, an individual must be certified as an Adventure Diver (or have a rating equivalent to that of an Advanced Open Water Dive and be at least 15 years of age).

Deep Dive - RMS RhoneCourse Activities: You will learn deep dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and hazards. You'll also put this knowledge to the test as you go on four open water dives that range from 60-130 feet under the supervision of an instructor. If you have done a deep dive in connection with your Adventure Diver certification and provide us with a copy of the Adventure Log page signed by your instructor or if you have the Advanced Open Water Diver Certification, you only need 3 more dives to complete the specialty. We will subtract $20 from course price.

  • Classroom: There is one classroom session. The classroom session will cover the entire Deep Diver Specialty Manual, review your knowledge review answers and prepare you for each of the four open water dives.
  • Independent Study: Before you come to class you need to read the entire Deep Diver Specialty Manual and complete Knowledge Reviews Part I and Part II. You will need to turn in the knowledge reviews prior to certification. Recommended: watch the video/DVD.
  • Open Water Dives: The 4 open water dives are done at an area lake/scuba park or on a dive trip (must be done over a 2 day period).
Deep Dive - RMS RhoneForms Required: Students need to complete the three (3) forms: Liability Release, Statement of Understanding, and Medical Statement prior to entering the water.

Materials/Equipment Required: Deep Diver Specialty Manual (included in course price) and Video/DVD (recommended - $25.00).

Price of Course: $145 - Price includes: Deep Diver Specialty Manual, certification card, picture for certification card and 4 dives under instructor supervision. If you have done a Deep dive in connection with your Adventure Diver certification and provide us with a copy of the Adventure Log page signed by your instructor or if you have the Advanced Open Water Diver Certification, you only need 3 more dives to complete the specialty. We will subtract $20 from course price.
